The company bringing back the Clear front-of-security line program for registered travelers said Thursday it will launch the service at Orlando International Airport on Nov. 9.

Alclear also opened registration Thursday for travelers over the Internet and at two electronic kiosks at the airport, hoping to recapture what had been a passionate market of frequent flyers who were stunned when the previous Clear operator shut down without warning 16 months ago.

With the Clear service, people who register by paying a fee and providing fingerprints, an iris-scan and other identification in advance, can skip long lines at security checkpoints, get identified with the swipe of a card and proceed directly to the federal inspectors when they go to catch a plane...
